Today back again in the class filled by Ms. Fatma. At this meeting ms fatma gave material about description text. Ms. Fatma starts the learning by opening a quiz through menti.com, in the quiz we are reminded of the learning that has been given the previous meeting. This time Ms. Fatma provides material about description text, description text structure, and punctuation in paragraphs.

Descriptive text aims to provide information to readers by describing shape, size, color and so on.

Comma and Full Stop

1. The Comma (,)

The comma is useful in a sentence when the writer wishes to: 

pause before proceeding to add a phrase that does not contain any new subject separate items on a list use more than one adjective (a describing word, like beautiful) Example: Mommy bought vegetables, eggs, chicken, and tomatoes.

2. Full Stop (.)

A full stop should always be used to end a sentence. The full stop indicates

that a point has been made and that you are about to move on to further explanations or a related point.

Example: Mother is cooking in the kitchen.

Capital Letters 1. To start a sentence

Example: The cat is so cute.

2. In the title

Example: The Legend of Malin Kundang

3. For proper nouns name something specific.

Example: Jane, John, Oxford University, Denver, Qantas, Microsoft, Everest, Sahara.

4. Acronyms

Acronyms generally work like title case: you capitalize the important words,

and not "and", "of", "for" and so on.

Example: UAE United Arab Emirates. 


Then we were changed into groups of 4 with the task of correcting punctuation, paragraph layout. Also came forward for the presentation.
